一、考試性質(zhì)、 目的與要求：
《英語(yǔ)翻譯基礎》是翻譯碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位 (MTI) 研究生入學(xué)考試的專(zhuān)業(yè)基礎 課考試科目，其目的是考查學(xué)生是否具備進(jìn)行 MTI 學(xué)習所要求的翻譯基礎。
《英語(yǔ)翻譯基礎》要求考生具有較好的文學(xué)修養，具備中外文化傳播、科 技翻譯、公共服務(wù)翻譯 (含法律翻譯、商務(wù)翻譯等) 等領(lǐng)域的基礎性背景知識， 掌握中英雙語(yǔ)在選詞、造句、謀篇方面的異同，具備英漢互譯的基本技巧，在翻 譯過(guò)程中能根據語(yǔ)篇類(lèi)型 (文體) 選擇適宜的翻譯策略與翻譯方法，能根據中英 雙語(yǔ)差異理解原文，使用地道、準確的目標語(yǔ)構建譯文，翻譯速度達到 250—300 個(gè)英語(yǔ)詞匯/小時(shí)，200-250 個(gè)漢字/小時(shí)。
二、考試范圍與內容概要
( 一) 英漢雙語(yǔ)對比與翻譯
要求考生了解英漢雙語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法的整體性差異，了解雙語(yǔ)在句子組織原則方面， 在選擇主謂賓等句子成分方面，在語(yǔ)序方面，在詞語(yǔ)語(yǔ)義關(guān)系方面，在用詞虛實(shí) 隱顯等方面的差異，能夠根據雙語(yǔ)差異采用相應的翻譯轉換手段產(chǎn)出適宜的譯 文。
(二) 文學(xué)翻譯
要求考生具備較好的文學(xué)修養，能夠識別、判斷原文的審美價(jià)值和交際價(jià)值， 能夠使用文學(xué)語(yǔ)言進(jìn)行翻譯轉換，產(chǎn)出具備相似 (或對等) 審美價(jià)值和交際價(jià)值 的譯文。
(三) 科技翻譯
要求考生具備較寬廣的科學(xué)技術(shù)領(lǐng)域的背景知識，能夠讀懂能源科技、醫學(xué)、計算機、生物工程等領(lǐng)域的科普性語(yǔ)篇，以及與數理化生等基礎學(xué)科相關(guān)的非專(zhuān) 業(yè)性語(yǔ)篇，掌握此類(lèi)語(yǔ)篇的語(yǔ)言特征，并能選擇合適的翻譯策略進(jìn)行譯文構建。
(四) 公共服務(wù)翻譯
要求考生掌握交通、旅游、文化娛樂(lè )、教育、體育、醫療衛生、餐飲住宿、 商業(yè)金融、郵政電信、商務(wù)及商貿類(lèi)法律領(lǐng)域的基礎知識，法律語(yǔ)言在選詞造句 成篇方面的基本特點(diǎn)，熟悉法律翻譯的基本原則，能夠翻譯買(mǎi)賣(mài)合同、租賃合同、 建筑合同、招投標文件、調查報告、公司章程等應用型、商務(wù)性法律文件的常見(jiàn)條款，以及其他公共服務(wù)和商務(wù)領(lǐng)域相關(guān)文本。
三、考試形式與試卷結構
( 一) 試卷滿(mǎn)分值及考試時(shí)間
本試卷滿(mǎn)分為 150 分，考試時(shí)間為 180 分鐘。
(二) 答題方式
答題方式為閉卷、筆試。試卷由試題和答題紙組成；答案必須寫(xiě)在答題紙相 應的位置上。
(三) 試卷內容結構
本考試包括四個(gè)部分：句子翻譯 (30 分)、文學(xué)翻譯 (40 分)、科技翻譯 (40 分)、法律翻譯 (40 分)。
