　　Jury. 陪審團

　　陪審團是指向法官(judge\justice)宣誓并且對給定的案子(case)做出裁決(decision)的一組人員，尤其是指被法律召集聽(tīng)取并且在法庭(court)上做出案子最終裁決的一組人員。陪審團為法院中，用以判定事實(shí)的團體，多見(jiàn)于英美法系國家。目前于司法制度中采用陪審團制度的有美國、英國和中國香港等。

　　譯文：陪審團同意，運動(dòng)員受傷的原因是游戲的性質(zhì)而不是頭盔。

　　Juror.陪審員

　　陪審團中的一員，在英美法系(又稱(chēng)大陸法系，common-law system)的國家中通常有12個(gè)陪審員，12個(gè)候補陪審員。

　　Supreme court.最高法院

　　美國聯(lián)邦最高法院是美國最高審判機構，由總統征得參議院(Senate)同意后任命的9名終身法官組成，其判例(legal precedent)對全國有拘束力，享有特殊的司法審查(judicial review)權，即有權通過(guò)具體案例宣布聯(lián)邦或各州的法律是否違憲。

　　Federal circuit.聯(lián)邦巡回上訴法院

　　聯(lián)邦巡回上訴法院，法律引用中?？s寫(xiě)為Fed.Cir.或C.A.F.C.)是位于華盛頓的一個(gè)聯(lián)邦上訴法院。該法院是由美國國會(huì )(congress)通過(guò)《1982聯(lián)邦法院改善法》創(chuàng )設的，將原有的聯(lián)邦關(guān)稅及專(zhuān)利上訴法院、以及美國索賠法院中的上訴部門(mén)合并后建立的，使這些法院的法官成為了巡回上訴法官。

　　Lawsuit.訴訟

　　訴訟，在法律含義上，指一個(gè)案件(case)的發(fā)展過(guò)程，又特指法院主持下按照法定程序(legal procedure)審理案件的過(guò)程。

　　符合法律規定的權利和利益。在我國，公民的合法利益包括憲法和法律所規定的政治權利、民主權利、人身權利、經(jīng)濟權利、教育權利等。

　　Federal legislature.聯(lián)邦立法機構

　　立法機關(guān)是制定(legislate)、修改和廢除法律的國家機關(guān)。資本主義國家的立法機關(guān)是議會(huì )。中國的立法機關(guān)是全國人民代表大會(huì )及其常務(wù)委員會(huì )。

　　譯文：Entergy公司打算尋求聯(lián)邦立法機構的支持。

　　Congress. 國會(huì )

　　美國國會(huì )(Congress，United States)行使立法權(legislative authority)。議案(bill)一般經(jīng)過(guò)提出、委員會(huì )審議、全院大會(huì )審議等程序。國會(huì )兩院在各自議長(cháng)(speaker)主持下工作。眾議院(House of Representatives)議長(cháng)由全院大會(huì )選舉產(chǎn)生，副總統是參議院的當任議長(cháng)。兩院都設有許多委員會(huì )，還設有由兩院議員共同組成的聯(lián)席委員會(huì )，國會(huì )工作大多在各委員會(huì )中進(jìn)行。
